RPE Testing Services
RPE stands for Registered Professional Engineer, a layman term for “competent examiner” as defined by Labour regulations. Most construction equipments used in a construction site, according to Labour regulations, are required to be tested and certified by a RPE before they are allowed to be used. These equipments include (i) all lifting machines as large as a tower crane and as small as a chain block, a loader installed on a lorry, etc., (ii) all lifting gears such as chain sling, wire sling, fixed eye point mounted to building structure for lifting purpose, shackle, material container with lifting eyes, etc. Certificates in most cases are in the approved formats issued by the Labour Department or tailored made letter formats.
